Igando-Ikotun LCDA Boss Tasks Residents

Chairman of Igando-Ikotun Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, Monsurudeen Ashamu Olabode Ola, has called on stakeholders to be involved in the development of the area, noting that the council can only move forward if all stakeholders are involved in steering its ship.

Ola, who is fondly called MAO by his teeming admirers, made the remark during a tour of some completed and ongoing projects in the seven wards of the council recently.

He said his administration recognises the value of stakeholders in the day-to-day running of the affairs of the council, with a view of strengthening their ties and uphold their feelings of belonging in the hope of contributing to the development of the area.

The chairman therefore called on them to cooperate with his administration in order to achieve the purpose of his being in office, while promising to continue to work tirelessly to assist the council in maintaining a cleaner environment with a view of bringing purposeful development to the area and Lagos State as a whole.

He also urged them to give the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) candidates their mandate as they did during the National Assembly election by voting Governor Babatunde Fashola, his running mate, Mrs. Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, Mr. Tayo Oduntan as member of the state House of Assembly for Alimoso Constituency 2 and other ACN candidates in the 26 April polls.

On more than 4,000 streets in the council area, Ola said his efforts will be on accessible link roads and according to him, three roads have been constructed. They are Alani Ige/Fatimo, Obabiyi and Da-Silva streets.
