How did you receive the news of your brother’s death?
Emeka, a friend of my brother who wanted to pick him at the airport, called me on phone that my brother had an auto accident in Greece.
Did you believe him that your brother had an accident?
I believed the story and it was not too long, I started receiving calls from officials of Nigeria Football Federation NFF and officials of Skoda Xanthi FC of Greece, where he playedbefore he died.
When did you discuss with your brother last?
W spoke on phone all the time. Any time he wanted to take decision, he called me on phone. When he wanted to leave Boulogne FC of France, he told me on phone and before he moved to Greece, he told me.
How will his death affect your life?
It will affect me seriously because were very close. I always advised him on any decision he wanted to take. At times, we discussed family issues on phone. But now that my brother is gone, such things cannot happen again. I will miss him forever.
When would they bring his corpse to Nigeria?
We are expecting his corpse next week because the officials of Nigerian Embassy in Greece told me that the corpse will arrive on Monday.
Bayo was coming home to finalise his introduction with his fiancée, before the incident occurred. Do you know much about his fiancée?
I don’t know much about her. I don’t know where she lives in Lagos. Don’t forget that my brother was coming home for the introduction before that incident occurred.
