House of Reps member Adedayo Omolafe dies

Isaac Addedyo Omolafe, the House of Representatives member for Akure North and Akure South is dead.

He was 49 years old.

He died today at about 2am in a private hospital in Akure, the Ondo State capital.

Omolafe, a.k.a ”Expensive”, was elected to the National Assembly in 2019 on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP).

Ondo PDP spokesman, Kennedy Peretei described Omolafe as a grassroot politician, whose death was a big blow to the party.

Meanwhile PDP members in Akure have expressed great shock about Omolafe’s death.

His Facebook account is now replete with grieving messages, with many expressing disbelief.

“Painfully painful.Lord comfort the family.What a vanity world!!! Good night buddy”, wrote Alafe Abbey.

“A great iroko has fallen”, Okeke Amotekun Nnaemeka said.

“Erin wo l’Oyemekun”, wrote Abosede Ige-Akintade.
