T he album concert of multiple award winning duo of Paul and Peter Okoye otherwise known as P-Square, has continued to gather momentum. It is an event that their fans from home and abroad can’t wait to witness.

Scheduled for 30 July, 2011 at the Eko Hotel and Suites, the concert promises to be the first of its kind, and the group is not leaving any stone unturned to put up a performance that will be second to none.

In a bid to give the best at the album concert, the group has recruited 12 dancers (six female and six male), after a keenly contested audition and have been rehearsing with the twin brothers’ six-man band members for about three months now.

It was gathered that the concert will have other side attractions including a segment where fans will win juicy prizes, while the first artiste to be officially signed on P-Square’s record label, Square Records, who goes on the stage name, May D, will also be unveiled on that day.

May D is also one of the very few artistes that featured in the yet-to-be-titled fifth album coming from the stable of P-Square.

Since their music career began in 2001, Paul and Peter have released four successful albums—Last Night, Get Squared, Game Over and Danger and, according to the twin brothers, they are not ready to let their local and international fans down with this new effort.

The forthcoming album is expected to have between 10 and 13 tracks, among which are Bunieya and Forever, two tracks that will first hit the air waves in a couple of days.

At home and abroad, P-Square is a hit. In 2010, the group won the Best African Act award at the KORA All African Music Awards held in Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso.

No doubt, the group is the most successful African act and this is evident with the massive success of their numerous concerts in the continent.
