Isoko Bye-Election: Delta police warn mischief makers to steer clear

The Delta State Police command has warned mischief makers in the state to steer clear of the state ahead of the Saturday’s Isoko South constituency bye-election.

According to a press statement by the police public relations officer of the state Bright Edafe, the command has massively deployed personnel to provide security during the election.

The state commissioner of police, Ari Muhammed in the statement assured all resident of the state that the command is committed to ensuring the security of everyone in the local government the election will hold.

He noted that officers have been deployed to all polling units and some speculated hot spots in the area to maintain peace and calm throughout the process.

CP Muhammed also appealed to front runners in the election to caution their supporters and restrain themselves from causing chaos.

The police commissioner said there will be no police escort for important personalities to polling units.

CP Muhammed also stated that there would be restriction of movement in the local government by 12:00 am on Saturday till 4:00 pm.
