Eredo LCDA Gets New Leader
Oresanwo Ayodeji has been elected as the new Leader of the legislative arm of Eredo Local Council Development Area of Lagos State.
He was elected by a simple majority of the councillors after the impeachment of the former leader, Raliat Kikelomo Talabi, for alleged anti-party activities.
Others also accused of engaging in anti-party activities include Lateef Adesanya, the vice chairman and Supervisor for Education, Awonaike Babatunde Julius.
It was gathered that their impeachment and suspension have been communicated to the Lagos State chairman of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), via a letter with reference number CH/ERLCDA/13/15 dated 3 May, 2011 and signed by the chairman, Omolaja Adelaja.
In the letter titled Re: Impeachment/Suspension Of Political Office Holders In Eredo Local Council Development Area For Anti-Party Activities, Adelaja informed the ACN chairman that the affected officers were impeached and suspended for anti-party activities and distruption of activities of the council, among others.
