No One To Succeed Prophet Akinade
Barely a week after the death of Lagos-based popular televangelist and General Overseer of Christ Apostolic Church, CAC, Lion of Judah, Prophet Elijah Akinade, it appears there is no one to succeed him yet.

P.M.News investigation at the Egbeda Lagos church revealed that the late Akinade had no deputy that could easily take over the running of the church. Rather than anoint a deputy, the late prophet built his church around himself, operating without a deputy.
According to one of the church members who pleaded anonymity, Pastor Akinade did not want to operate the church with the support of a deputy who might stab him in the back and take over the church.
Before he took ill, the late prophet reportedly treated all the pastors equally and assigned responsibility to them without giving any specific position to any of them in the church.
That situation seems to have backfired thereby throwing the church into confusion as to who should take over since Akinade died.
When P.M.NEWS visited the church headquarters at Egbeda, Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria, yesterday, even though the church opened a condolence register for sympathisers, none of the pastors was around to attend to visitors who had come to the church to console the late prophet’s family.
There were only a few security guards and some members in the church premises.
Akinade, 57 died in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city last Saturday. He had gone to Abuja two months ago for the treatment of an undisclosed ailment.
When the news of his death broke on Sunday, there was weeping and wailing in the church among the members who expressed shock over his death.
But P.M.NEWS learnt that Prophet Akinade who preached on MITV, had been sick and had been managing the illness until it deteriorated before he moved to Abuja where he sought medical assistance.
