‘Paralympic Committee’s Crisis Over Soon’

There are strong indications that the International Paralympic Committee, IPC, will soon lift the temporary sanction placed on the Paralympic Committee of Nigeria.

The president of Paralympic Committee of Nigeria, Monday Emoghavwe, told Nigeriasportnews.org that the sanction was placed on Nigeria because the committee’s immediate past executive failed to comply with the directives of the international body to put up a virile structure.

Emoghavwe said IPC’s action has charged the committee to work hard in regenerating the association, according to the requirement of IPC, hence they had to conduct an election to usher in the athletes representatives on the board of PCN.

The committee’s Secretary General, Toyin Aluko, said the election into the Executive Committee of PCN would come up in the next few weeks in Abuja.
