2 Jailed For Theft

An Ikeja Magistrate’s Court sitting in ogudu has jailed two accused, Dapo Samuel and Shina Bankole for stealing.

They were earlier arraigned by the police prosecutor, ASP Eyo Owai on a two-count charge of felony and stealing, offences punishable under Sections 516 and 390 of the Criminal Code, Cap.C.17, Vol. 11, Laws of Lagos state of Nigeria, 2003.

According to the police, the accused were arrested at Ketu Bus Stop, Lagos State, for stealing one nokia E66 and nokia N95 valued at N100,000 belonging to Mrs. Jumoke.

At the conclusion of investigation, they were charged to court where they pleaded guilty and were sentenced to two years in prison with hard labour by the presiding magistrate, Mrs. Bola .F.Williams.
