Guards Machete Trader Over Lover
Doctors at the Isolo General Hospital, Lagos are now battling to save the life of a man, Chinoso Okafor, 33, after he was attacked with machete by security guards for allegedly snatching his friend’s girlfriend.
He was macheted at the back and three of his teeth were forcefully removed during the attack.
Chinoso, a trader at the popular Ladipo Market in Mushin, was alleged to have snatched a lady identified as Glory from his friend, Ikechukwu.
Feeling betrayed, Ikechukwu, it was learnt, hired some security guards in the area to deal with him.
Investigations revealed that Ikechukwu had earlier introduced Glory to Chinoso as his girlfriend but unknown to him the latter had sinister plans for him.
Chinoso was said to have invited Glory to his house at Olaifa Street, Bucknor, Ejigbo to pass the night.
When Ikechukwu got to know that his heartthrob was in Chinoso’s house to pass the night, he reportedly went to some security guards in the area and paid them to bring out his girlfriend from the house.
The guards were said to have opened the door forcefully, attacked Chinoso with the machete and took the girl away.
Speaking with P.M.NEWS on his hospital bed, Chinoso expressed surprise that he was attacked by the guards, adding that he did not force the girl to come to his house.
He identified the men who attacked him to the police and they were arrested.
P.M.NEWS gathered that the suspects had been charged to court for assault.
