Students Warm Up For Sisi Eko Pageant

Students of various institutions of higher learning in Lagos State are currently warming up for the maiden edition of Sisi Eko, a beauty pageant and the first of its kind in the metropolis.

Female students of between the ages of 18 and 25 years have shown interest to participate in the contest, which is supported by the Lagos State Ministry of Information and Strategy.

A brainchild Nollywood actress Anike Babajide popularly known as Anike Sinleke, Sisi Eko is a brain and beauty competition aimed at testing the knowledge of young Lagos ladies in the areas of tourism, culture, sports and education.

The actress, who described the pageant as her little way of giving back to the society, hinted that the star prize of the contest is a brand new car, one year tuition fee, one year wardrobe allowance and a movie contract.

The first runner-up, according to her, will also get a wardrobe allowance, tuition fee and other consolation prizes.

Anike was once the winner of a beauty pageant in Lagos and has since spread her tentacles to the Yoruba movie sector, where she has produced a couple of movies.
