Court refers comedian Funny Face to a psychiatric hospital

The Kaneshie District Court in Accra has referred comedian Funny Face with the real name Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng to a Psychiatric Hospital for medical examination.

The decision of the court followed the request made by the Ghana Police Service for a psychiatric assessment after the comedian was arrested on Monday.

Funny Face was arrested after he threatened to kill the mother of his children.

However, the Ghana Police Service said the result of the psychiatric examination will now determine the next line of action.

“We continue to thank the public for their support as we seek to maintain law and order,” the police added.
