WAFU CUP: Togo Qualify For Final

The Hawks of Togo this evening at the MKO International Stadium, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Southwest Nigeria, qualified for the final of the ongoing West African Football Union, WAFU Nations Cup with a 4-2 victory over the Leone Stars of Liberia.

The six goals thriller match ended 1-1 at regulation time, forcing the tenson soaked encounter into extra time before the Hawks overran the Leone Stars that played with two men down.

Two players of the Liberian team were given the marching orders for rough tackles on their opponents.

With the outcome of the game, the Togolese will have to wait for their opponents, who would be decided in the match between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and their archrivals, the Black Stars of Ghana.
