Kimono Returns To Star Trek

Rub-a-dub master, Ras Kimono, who has played with the likes of the late Oliver De Coque, Sonny Okosuns, Tony One Week, African China and others at the Star Trek, will return to action in the 2011 edition of the Nigeria Brewries Plc organised show.

Kim, as Kimono is popularly called, is expected to perform alongside top Nigerian stars including Timaya, Wande Coal, Faze, P-Square, D’banj, 9ice, Banky W, Yinka Best, Abass Akande Obesere, Ruggedman and Jaywon.

Others are Naeto C, Eldee, Femi Adeyinka Freewindz, Elass, Juke Box, J Martins, Durrela and The B.E.A.T.S, winners of 2011, Star Quest.

The show, which begins on 27 May, according to the Marketing Manager, Nigeria Brewries Plc, Jacco Van der Liden, will cover 10 towns in Nigeria namely Abuja, Auchi, Asaba, Nnewi, Enugu, Owerri, Port Harcout, Aba, Lagos and Ondo.

Van der Liden said that some upcoming artistes will be given opportunity to showcase their talent, while Gbenga Adeyinka 1st and Jafe Extra will anchor the show.
