Togo Ambassador To Host Team
Togolese Ambassador to Nigeria, Addo Maman Tchalare said they have concluded plans to organise a dinner party for Hawks of Togo national team before they leave Nigeria.

Togo made history last Saturday when they out-played and defeated defending champions, Nigeria 3-2 in the final of WAFU Cup Nations Cup at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Tchalare, who was among the personalities that watched the impressive final ceremony told P.M.Sports that the people of Togo back home were proud of the team adding that the Togo Embassy in Nigeria will host the team before they return home.
“Of course yes, we are going to host the team in Abuja. What we are going to do for them is part of the government’s support for the team. We love the team and we are proud of them winning the regional competition,†he said
Commenting on the final match, the Togolese Ambassador said it was a match of character and a match that showcased Africa football artistry. He admitted that Nigeria has more potential than them but that his country was focused throughout the competition.
“Beating Nigeria does not indicate that we are better than Nigeria as far as football is concerned in Africa.We know that these are not a real senior national team. All we are saying is that our team played well and deserved the victory,†he added.
