JTF Dismisses John Togo “Surrender”

The Joint Task Force, JTF, in the Niger Delta region has dismissed the information on the internet and published by a section of the media claiming that John Togo, the notorious militant leader who is terrorising the coastal areas in Delta State, had “surrendered” but was rejected by the JTF as false and a decoy that should be disregarded.

This denial by the JTF confirms the earlier stance by the JTF in a phone interview our correspondent had with the Task force spokesman when he vowed that the hunt for the militant leader and his gang remains a task that must be done.

Also in a text message later, Lt Col. Timothy Antiga, the Spokesman of the JTF told P.M.NEWS in Port Harcourt, today, that “Please note that the JTF is unaware such development. Surrender cannot be effected in cyberspace or on the pages of newspapers.

“If John Togo and his co-travellers are serious about surrender, they know what to do. Until that is done, any news about surrender is seen as diversionary and a decoy and should be disregarded.”
