There was no covid-19 related death, as confirmed cases hit 221,071. Active cases jumped to 6,743.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) reported 1051 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, several hundreds fewer than Wednesday’s record.

Lagos and Abuja, according to the figures accounted for 79.6 percent of the cases.

While Lagos logged 599 cases, its highest in recent weeks, Abuja had 238 cases.

There was no Covid-19 related death, as confirmed cases hit 221,071.

Active cases jumped to 6,743.
