Financial Consultant To Divorce Fashion Designer
A financial consultant working in a private firm, Wasiu Adeshina Oyeladun, 46 has asked an Alimosho Grade ‘B’ Customary Court, Ipaja, Lagos to dissolve his marriage to his wife, Latifat Oyeladun, 44, a fashion designer due to irreconciliable differences.
The petitioner who lives at 2, Jegede Street, Akinogun, Ipaja, told the court that he doesn’t love the respondent any more, adding that he was ready to take responsibility for payment of the feeding allowance and school fees of the children.
He prayed the court to order the respondent to pack out of his house.
The petitioner disclosed further that the respondent was always fighting him because of money.
“She always accused me of not taking care of her and hiding money from her. She doesn’t take care of me and the children,” he added.
He also blamed her for the death of three of their children and a daughter getting pregnant.
The couple had five children.
In her response, Latifat denied the allegations and narrated to the court how her husband forced her to carry out 17 abortions in order not to add to the family.
She revealed further that she told him that she was not going to use contraceptives again because there was a time she had problem with conception.
“I still love my husband and I don’t want the marriage dissolved. I don’t want to have more than one husband,” she told the court.
After hearing from both sides, the president of the court, Mr. A.O. Olatunji adjourned the case till 13 June, 2011.
