Biz Man Attacks Mate In Bar

A 29-year-old businessman, Oyero Oluwasola was on Wednesday arraigned in Lagos for allegedly breaking a plastic table on the head of a co-businessman and causing him bodily harm.

Oluwasola, who was taken before Magistrate Mrs. B.O.A. Osunsanmi of the Somolu Magistrate’s Court, Lagos was charged with assault and damage.

The accused was said to have broken the plastic table on the head of Mr. Kufo Amenidon, a co-businessman during an argument at 1/5 Sanni Lane, Anthony Village, Lagos.

The prosecutor, Asp A. Adegoke told the court that the accused on the same day, time and place also unlawfully damaged bottles of drinks valued at N500,000 property of Mr. Onochie Emeka.

He said that the offence was contrary to and punishable under Sections 338 and 451 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Lagos state.

The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge and Osunsanmi granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with a surety in like sum.

The magistrate adjourned the case till July 22, for further hearing.
