Nigerians Not Ready To Fight Corruption —Cleric
Several weeks after the 2011 general elections, Nigerians have continued to speak on the conduct and other things concerning the elections.
Speaking with newsmen in his Ebute Metta office in Lagos, former Chairman of the Nigerian Cycling Federation and the President, ECLECTIC Network, Rev. Dr. Moses Iloh said: “Buhari lost the presidential election because Nigerians are not ready to fight corruption.
“He lost because Nigerians are not ready to fight corruption. They are not ready to fight corruption so let it be!
“CPC does not have the kind of money that all their opponents have. When you talk about money politics, they just cannot compete.
Responding to a question put to him on how a party, CPC, with its stance on corruption if voted in, could have accepted the son of the late dictator, Mohammed Abacha within its fold, Rev. Iloh shot back: “Tell me one politician in Nigeria that is not a thief? When you look at the stealing perpetrated in Nigeria, Abacha was a pick-pocket. He was a novice thief. Look at what have been stolen since Abacha left; what the governors stole during Obasanjo era and today they are controlling Nigeria.â€
