Traditional Ruler Tasks Fashola On Grassroots Development

Baale of Onigbongbo community in Lagos, Southwest Nigeria, Alhaji Lateef Owolabi, has advised Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola to give priority to grassroots development in his next four years in office.

Alhaji Owolabi gave this advice while celebrating his 70th birthday.

According to him, Governor Fashola has done tremendiously well in the last four years, especially in the areas of road construction and transportation but more still needs to done in the area of grassroots development.

“I must commend Governor Fashola for the good job he has done in transforming Lagos State. Our roads are better now and transportation has improved. Truly, Lagos has undergone massive transformation within the last four years and I must give kudos to Fashola.

“One area that I think the governor should concentrate on in his next four years in office is grassroots development. He needs to do more in this area by providing jobs for our children; encouraging local craft development and bringing the dividends of democracy to the rural areas,” he stated.
