NOUN Facilitators Grumble Over Non-Payment Of Allowances

Some Facilitators of the National Open University of Nigeria, NOUN, are grumbling over the non-payment of their allowances, which run into millions of naira, even as the tertiary institution is set to resume for its second semester.

P.M.News learnt from some of the facilitators at the Abeokuta Study Center in Ogun State, southwest Nigeria, that about N5,000 per hour per unit course was approved by the management of NOUN for payment to them

However, up till now, most of them have not being paid their allowances, even as they are expected to resume in the next few days. When P.M.News sent a mail to Dr Ronke Ogunmakin, Director of Media for Noun,

She explained that it is on record that lecturers in all study centres have been paid except those whose hours of facilitation are questioned or otherwise being investigated. Ogunmakin also asked the facilitators to be specific on the centres.
