Professor Izibili on home journey from wedding abducted

Unidentified gunmen have abducted Professor Matthew Aziegbemhin Izibili, a lecturer of the Ambrose Alli University, in Ekpoma, Edo state.

According to reports, the lecturer, a professor of philosophy, was abducted alongside five others on his way back home from a wedding.

SP Kontongs Bello confirmed the kidnapping, adding that the gunmen have contacted the Izibili family and demanded N10 million ransom.

The PPRO explained that the Edo Police Command is working hard to ensure that the lecturer is released unhurt.

Also, the Chairman, of the University’s ASUU chapter, Cyril Onogbosele confirmed the incident.
