FIFA president Gianni Infantino has said the Qatar World Cup will “simply be the best tournament ever”.

He spoke in Doha Friday at the final draw for the tournament kicking off 21 November this year, ending 18 December.

Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani welcomed the guests.

Among them were national team coaches, World Cup-winning players and football officials.

British actor Idris Elba and broadcaster Reshmin Chowdhury hosted the show.

Nigeria’s famous footballer Jay Jay Okocha took part in the draw.

It is the first time soccer’s top prize has been competed for in the Middle East and there was a distinct Arabian feeling to the show.

According to the draw, Ghana are in Group H, along with Portugal. Uruguay and Korea Republic.

Senegal are in Group A with hosts Qatar, Ecuador and the Netherlands.

Morocco will lock horns against Belgium, Canada and Croatia in Group F.

Cameroon will battle to qualify for the next round in Group G, that features Brazil, Serbia and Switzerland.

The last African representatives, Tunisia are in Group D with defending champions France and Denmark. The last member of the group is still being awaited from a play-off.

The United States will face England and Iran in Group B, while Spain will take on Germany in a clash of former winners in Group E.

For the U.S., the draw pits them against their former colonial rulers England and the Iranians, a country they have had long-running political disputes with.

The U.S. faced Iran at the 1998 World Cup in France, losing 2-1 to the Gulf nation.

The draw came after a 45 minute musical and video show.
