President Muhammadu Buhari has urged the families of former President Goodluck Jonathan’s police aides who died in a road accident to see their demise as a sacrifice for the nation.

Jonathan narrowly escaped death on Wednesday, when his convoy got involved in an accident on the road to Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja.

In a statement issued on Friday by Malam Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assitant to the President on Media and Publicity, Buhari joined fellow countrymen in praying for the repose of the deceased.

He particularly sent consolation messages to the former president, urging him not to be distracted from his frequent local and international travels which are linked to peace building at home and abroad.

Buhari expressed gratitude to God for having Jonathan escape unhurt from the accident.
