Buhari mourns as ex-Senate President Wabara’s wife dies at 69

Buhari, in a statement issued by his spokesman, Femi Adesina sympathized with Wabara, on the death of his wife, Felicia.

Felicia, the wife of former Senate President, Adolphus Wabara, died on Sunday at the age of 69 after a protracted illness.

Her death was made known by the Secretary of Ukwa East Local Government Area of Abia State, Emmanuel Shebbs, in a release in Umuahia.

The late Felicia Wabara, who turned 69 in March, hailed from Ogwa in Esan West Local Government Area of Edo State, and was married to Senator Adolphus Wabara, who doubled as the immediate past Pro-Chancellor of Abia State University, Uturu, (ABSU) and Secretary of the Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Late Felicia Wabara was married to Senator Adolphus Wabara for 40 years.

Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari has mourned her death.

Buhari, in a statement issued by his spokesman, Femi Adesina sympathized with Wabara, on the death of his wife, Felicia.

The President urged the former Senate President, children, grandchildren and family members left by the departed to take solace in the quality of life led by Mrs Wabara, a devoted wife, committed mother, and a devout Christian.

“Naturally, it would be painful, but I pray that God will give you the fortitude to bear the loss,” Buhari said.

Native of Ogwa, Esan West local government area of Edo State, but born in Kafanchan, Kaduna State, the President prays God to accept the soul of Mrs Wabara, and comfort all those who mourned her.
