Seyi Makinde wins second term ticket

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has been declared winner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship primary held in the State on Wednesday.

Makinde polled 1,040 votes to defeat his rival, Azeem Gbolarumi by a wide margin. Gbolarumi only got two votes.

The governor was declared winner of the primary by Abdulahi Maibasira, who is the returning officer for the election.

Reacting, said he was overwhelmed by the support of the people while calling on them to support him to win the governorship poll in 2023.

But Gbolarumi alleged that his delegates were chased out of the venue.

He, however, supported Makinde and raised his hand up, pledging to support his re-election bi.
