Moment 50 children were rescued from underground cell in Ondo church (Video)

It was shock and disbelief that greeted residents of Valentino Area of Ondo town, Ondo State, when about 50 children were rescued from an underground cell in a church.

Operatives of the Ondo State Police Command rescued the children and arrested the pastor and others in connection with the incident.

When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer of the state command, Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami, said the victims had been taken to the Akure headquarters of the command.

Twitter users have described the discovery of the children in an underground apartment of a church in the Valentino Area of Ondo town, Ondo State, on Friday evening as disturbing.
