According to Adesua, the acapella cover was a tribute to her insanely talented husband, Bankole Wellington.
Adesua Etomi-Wellington, the wife of Nigerian singer Bankole Wellington aka Banky W, has released a song “Strong Thing” as a tribute to her husband.
The magnificent capella was posted on her verified Instagram page on Wednesday.
She wrote; “Did this as a tribute to my insanely talented husband @bankywellington. Everything you hear was recorded by me, by mouth. It was stressful but fun. I activated the ‘W’ in me that was hidden”.
Strong Thing, the original song, was released under the “W Experience” in 2009.
