Moment Obasanjo, Wike, Obi, others met in London over 2023 (Photos)

Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo has met with the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi and Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State in London.

The meeting was held on Thursday.

Also at the meeting were Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State and former Governor of Cross River State, Donald Duke.

The meeting was not unconnected with the 2023 presidential election and a means of fine-tuning strategy for the poll.

Details of the meeting were not known.

Wike and others had also recently met with the APC Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in London to strategise ahead of the 2023 presidential election.

Wike had been bitter with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over the way and manner he was treated during the party’s primary election and for being overlooked in the selection of the vice presidential candidate of the party.

There had been moves to reconcile Wike and Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s presidential candidate and all peace meetings so far had not yielded the desired result.
