Three tenants who allegedly fought themselves and constituted nuisance in their neighbourhood were on Tuesday docked in an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court.

The police charged Chidinma Orebiyi, 37; Favour Ikenna, 21; Robert Ikenna, 24, who reside in Oshodi, Lagos with breach of peace and causing grievous harm.

The Prosecution Counsel, ASP Raji Akeem, told the court that the defendants committed the offence on July 24.

He said that they fought over whose turn it was to fetch water.

The prosecutor alleged that the defendants used sharp objects to inflict injury on themselves.

The offence, he said, contravenes the provisions of sections 54 and 246 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2015.

The defendants, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The Chief Magistrate, Mrs B. O Osunsanmi granted the defendants bail in the sum of N50,000 each with one surety in like sum.

Osunsanmi adjourned the case until Sept. 28 for mention.
