Speaker sends message to Nigerians

The Speaker of Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi, has urged Christians and other Nigerians to use the Christmas period to pray for the success of the 2023 general elections.

The message is contained in a statement by his Press Secretary, Mr Jibrin Gwamna which was made available to newsmen in Lafia on Saturday.

Abdullahi described the day as unique and special among Christians, hence the need for it to be used for sober reflection.

The speaker urged Christians to use the period to extend hands of fellowship to the less privileged in society.

“This is to give them a sense of belonging and improve their standard of living,” he said.

Abdullahi wished all Christians a happy celebration, while he called on Nigerians to always pray and support their leaders.

He urged Christians and other Nigerians to remain committed to the constituted authorities for the peace and progress of the country.
