The Labour Party's presidential candidate polled 352,904 votes to claim Imo, while Asiwaju Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu came a distant second, scoring 66, 171 votes.

The Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi has won Saturday’s presidential election in Imo State by a wide margin.

The returning officer for the state, Charles Esimone, announced Obi as winners in Owerri on Tuesday, having polled the highest number of votes.

The Labour Party’s presidential candidate polled 352,904 votes to claim Imo, while Asiwaju Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu came a distant second, scoring 66, 171 votes.

Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), got 30,044 votes to emerge third, while Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) scored 1,536 votes.
