President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has called President Muhammadu Buhari from France to exchange Eid greetings with the outgoing president.
A statement issued by Presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu on Friday said Buhari and Tinubu exchanged Eid greetings in a phone call to mark the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
He said both leaders thanked God Almighty for seeing this day and prayed for the stability and the wellbeing of the nation.
Shehu said Buhari expressed his readiness to welcome Asiwaju Tinubu to the State House as President on May 29th.
Tinubu will be taken over the reigns of power from Buhari on 29 May, 2023 as the 16th president of Nigeria,
He won the February 25 presidential election held in Nigeria, defeating Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi of the Labour Party, Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), among others.
