There have been reports of continuous shooting and reprisal killings by rival cult gangs in Mile One Diobu axis of Port Harcourt for more than a week.

The Rivers State Police Command says the command has not received any official complaint regarding reports of the shooting and killing of two persons at Sangana/Railway axis in Mile 1 Diobu, Port Harcourt.

Some business owners and eyewitnesses confirmed that gunmen suspected to be a faction of Deygbam cult groups which have been involved in the battle for territorial control at Elechi beach Mile 1 where they are into illegal oil bunkering in Diobu invaded Sangana/Railway axis on Friday night in search of their rivals and shot sporadically, reportedly killing two persons.

P.M.NEWS sources disclosed that the corpses were carted away by the killers. Traders around the axis fled the scene when the shooting started.

It would be recalled that suspected BS and D12 houses of Deygbam cult groups engaged themselves in a territorial control battle which started last week Saturday and has gradually spread to other parts of Diobu leading to the killing of ‘Asari’ at Ekwe/Ikwerre road Mile 3 Diobu on Thursday night.
