The duo were captured in photographs going to the mosque to pray and after observing their prayer on Friday afternoon.
The two leaders exchanged pleasantries after the Jumaat prayers and were also welcomed by well wishers.
Tinubu will take over from Buhari as the 16th president of Nigeria on 29 May, 2023.
He was declared winner of the February 25 Presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on 1 March, 2023 having satisfied the requirements of the law.
