The Supreme Court will on Tuesday decide on the appeal brought before it by Adegboyega Oyetola, and his party, the All Progressives Congress against Governor Ademola Adeleke and PDP.
The court will commence by 2 pm tomorrow (Tuesday).
The Supreme Court had on Monday scheduled the date and time to lay to rest the legal tussle over the governorship seat of Osun State after parties in the appeal adopted their written address and oral submissions in the matter.
Oyetola and the APC had challenged the judgment of the Court of Appeal in Abuja, which affirmed Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party as the elected governor of Osun State.
In 2022, the Independent National Electoral Commission announced Adeleke as the winner of the election.
Both Oyetola and the APC pray that the apex court set aside the verdict of the Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal.
The judgment also voided the judgment of the Osun State Election Petition Tribunal, which returned Oyetola as the winner of the November July 16, 2022 governorship election.
