President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has just sworn in Senator George Akume as the new Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
According to The NATION, the brief event gathered dignitaries, including some serving and former governors.
Akume reportedly took his Oath of Allegiance and Oath of Office around 11:06 am inside the Council Chambers of the Villa.
Among the dignitaries at the ceremony were Vice President Kashim Shettima; Senate President Ahmed Lawan; Kwara Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq; Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan and wife of the new SGF, Mrs Regina Akume.
