I Want To Play For Enyimba FC Someday

 Uzoma Nwankwu plays for Junior United of Alimosho. His team crashed out in the semi final of Prince Gas Cup. He spoke with SUNDAY AKINTOYE about his experience and future plans

Your team lost 2-0 to De Sholly FC in the semi final of Prince Gas Football championship, are you disappointed that you did not reach the final?

I am sad and bittered about the result.We have not conceded a goal in all our previous matches and conceding two goals today (last Friday) discredited our unbeaten record.

Did your opponents deserve the victory?

To be honest, De Sholly FC played good football. They were stronger and very athletic on ball. I think they deserve to be in the final.

Do you see them winning the tournament?

Like I said earlier, they are a good side. They are good to win the cup. I heard Oniru United also won their semi final, so it is going to be a tough match for both teams in the final.

Are you happy that fans rated you Man of the Match?

I am not really happy because my team are not in the final. What is so special about winning Man of the Match when my team failed to qualify for the final. I would be happier if my team have reached the final.

Where did you start your football career?

I played for Unbeatable FC before I moved to Abuziko FC. I joined Junior United FC two years ago.

After Junior United, which club are you targeting among Nigerian clubs?

I like to play for Enyimba FC It is the club of the moment as far as local clubs are concerned in the Nigeria Premier league.

Why do you want to start your professional football career with Enyimba?

Because they play good football. They have a good management that can secure the future of young players. I also want to play in Europe someday.
