PSP contractor with the Lagos Waste Management Authority, LAWMA in Alimosho Local Government Area, Adako Hassan has commisserated with the former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the death of his senior driver, Alhaji Mustapha Safiyu Oloyede.

Adako described the late senior driver of Asiwaju Tinubu as a courageous and efficient man who served his master till the end.

Recounting an encounter with the late driver, Adako said he displayed courage and driving skills at Igbogbo, Ikorodu in 2003 when hoodlums from the opposition party attempted to attack Tinubu’s convoy during a campaign tour of the area.

“I was in the campaign train of Tinubu that day and we were about to be attacked at Igbogbo, Ikorodu by members of the opposition party. It was the late Alhaji Oloyede who displayed his driving skills and saved us from being attacked.

“May Allah grant Asiwaju Tinubu and the family of the late Oloyede the strength to bear the loss,” he added.

The Alimosho politician and member of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN who is contesting the chairmanship of Alimosho local government council also appealed to the Muslim Ummah to use this Ramadan period to pray for peace and progress of the party.

On his reason for seeking the chairmanship of Alimosho, Adako stated: ”I represent the suffering youths of Alimosho and I think the time is ripe for us to be empowered. I want to liberate the youths and empower them because we have paid our dues in Alimosho ACN.

“Asiwaju Tinubu is aware of my candidature and has promised me of his support.”

The local government polls in the state has been fixed for 22 October by the state Independent National Electoral Commission.
