Nigerian skitmaker and content creator, Sunday Joshua Martins, popularly known as “De General,” has revealed his selective approach to dating and relationships.
The internet personality, who is renowned for his humorous skits, shared his perspective on why he exclusively dates girls who are 18 years old, citing concerns about mounting marriage pressures.
In the video, De General expressed his apprehension about the rising trend of women in their mid-20s pressuring their partners to propose and get married.
He posed thought-provoking questions about the hurry to wed and wondered whether these young women harbour certain fears or anxieties that drive them to push for early marriages.
To counter the perceived societal pressure and commitment-related stress, De General revealed his strategy of selectively dating ladies who are 18 years old.
He asserted that younger girls exhibit a more relaxed attitude toward marriage, implying that they do not exert the same level of marital pressure like older women.
De General went on to explain that he takes a different course of action once these girls reach the age of 24, a milestone he believes marks the point at which marriage pressures intensify.
At this juncture, he said he chooses to end the relationships to avoid the mounting pressure to commit to marriage that typically accompanies this age.
