Kano Governor Yusuf appoints 72 special assistants

On 14 June the governor appointed his first set of special assistants and advisers.
Gov. Abba Yusuf of Kano State has so far appointed 72 special assistants, 57 of them in one fell swoop on Friday.
Press Secretary, Malam Bature Dawakin Tofa said six women were among the 57 newly appointed aides.
They include Hassana Abubakar, Senior Special Assistant, National Assembly Matters; Hajiya Mariya Sani-Karaye and Hajiya Sa’adatu Salisu-Yusha’u, Women Mobilisation.
Others are Hadiza Aminu, New Media; Zainab Ibrahim D, Primary Education; and Rabi Hotoro, Women Affairs.
Dawakin Tofa said all the appointments took immediate effect.
Yusuf has now made close to 200 appointments of aides.
On 14 June the governor appointed his first set of special assistants and advisers.
On 7 August, he announced the appointment of 42 others.
Later in the same month, the governor appointed 25 special advisers and assistants.
