Akeredolu returns to Nigeria after 3 months

Some members of the Ondo Government’s cabinet have reportedly relocated to Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State to welcome the State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu who has been away from the country on medical leave for three months.
A photograph which has gone viral show the Governor inside a private jet. Akeredolu’s supporters said the picture is that of the Governor returning to the country from Germany where he has been undergoing medical treatment.
Reports indicated that the airline conveying Akeredolu, landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja some minutes after 3:00 pm and the Governor was immediately flown to Ibadan Airport.
The Governor left the country at the end of May after weeks of speculations about his state of health. He, however, later extended the medical leave with a letter to the Ondo State House of Assembly.
Akeredolu transferred power to his deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, in line with constitutional provisions.
Quting a source, The Nation newspaper reported that the Governor may stay in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State before going to take over at Akure, the Ondo State capital.
“I’m also aware that some members of the state Exco might likely visit him there to welcome him back to the state,” the source reportedly said.
