Ten-man Manchester City defeated Nottingham Forest 2-0 on Saturday to remain on top of the English Premier League and an unblemished record.

Phil Foden opened the scoring for City few minutes into the match at the Etihad Stadium.

Kyle Walker displayed great vision and sent a pass to Foden, who showed brilliant composure inside the box to bury the ball into the bottom right corner.

Erling Haaland made it 2-0 for City on 14 minutes. He ran onto a clever lofted pass from Matheus Nunes and easily beat the keeper with a header into the roof of the net from close range.

On 31 minutes, Julian Alvarez had a crack at goal from inside the box, but the defender somehow made the block to deny him.

Immediately after the break, Rodri received a red card due to his mindless behaviour.

On 78th minute, Nathan Ake sprayed a pass out to Haaland, but he produced a poor effort from inside the box which went high over the bar.

On added time, Willy Boly was unlucky with a goal-bound effort from the edge of the box. A brilliant save by Ederson stopped the ball from hitting the bottom left corner.
