Netizens react as Chef Dammy released on bail

Netizens have reacted after Chef Dammy was released on bail following her arrest by the Ondo State Police Command, prompted by a petition filed by her pastor, Prophet Adegoke Jeremiah.

Chef Dammy underwent interrogation by the Police at AIG Zone 17 in Akure. The spokesperson for Zone 17, DSP Adeoye Hakeem, clarified that the police received a petition against her and invited her for questioning.

In a statement, the Zone emphasized the receipt of a complaint against Chef Dammy and her subsequent interrogation, followed by her release on administrative bail while investigations continue.

DSP Hakeem noted that Dammy responded to the police invitation and was granted administrative bail with a surety. The statement reiterated the commitment to fair justice without bias.

Chef Dammy and her pastor, popularly referred to as Billionaire Dollar Prophet, gained attention during her cook-a-thon from June 11 to 15.

This event stirred controversy as many believed she aimed to surpass a Guinness World Record set by Hilda, although she clarified it was a personal challenge rather than an attempt to break records.

Tensions rose between the chef and the cleric when she held the pastor responsible for any potential harm, leading to her arrest as he found her statement offensive.
