Weather forecasters have warned that more snow could arrive in London next week with one of them issuing another yellow weather warning.

The BBC weather forecast has predicted sub-zero temperatures for one day next week.

This followed a new yellow weather warning for snow and ice across parts of the country issued by the Met Office.

London saw snow fall for the first time on Friday, as temperatures dropped and the city entered a cold snap.

Temperatures Saturday were only reaching highs of 2C, with a low forecast at -1C. The BBC forecast 8C and rain for London on Sunday.

The expected warmer temperatures are due to continue for the next couple of weeks, according to the forecaster.

The Met Office corroborates this, with average temperatures of around 8C until December 8.

The Met Office, however, issued another yellow weather warning for snow and ice across parts of the UK for Sunday.

“Snow and ice this evening and into Sunday morning may lead to some disruption to transport and infrastructure,” the Met Office is quoted by MyLondon.

The yellow warning, which applies to the midlands and up through Hull and to the North East of the country, is in place from 6pm Saturday through to 12pm on Sunday.
