Manchester United’s below performance continued on Saturday as they were beaten 2-1 by lowly Nottingham Forest.

United, which came from two goals down to beat Aston Villa 3-2 mid-week at Old Trafford could not replicate such a feat.

After a goalless first half, Forest scored in the 64th minute of the game. Nicolas Dominguez neatly controlled a decent pass from Gonzalo Montiel. He looked up and smashed an unstoppable drive into the left side of the goal from the edge of the box.

United equalised 78 minutes into the game by Marcus Rashford.

Alejandro Garnacho pulled the ball back for Rashford on the edge of the box, and he beat the keeper with a fine strike into the bottom right corner.

Four minutes later, Forest struck again to make it 2-1. Anthony Elanga teed up Morgan Gibbs-White on the edge of the box and he fired the ball into the right side of the goal.

Earlier, Diogo Dalot ran towards the goal to give his teammate support after receiving a fantastic pass and shot from the edge of the box, but it crashed against the right post.
