Nigeria’s President, Bola Tinubu and former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo on Monday met at the second term swearing in of Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma.
Obasanjo was known to have worked against the emergence of Tinubu in the February 25, 2023 presidential election.
He had openly endorsed the candidature of former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, but Obi failed to win the election.
Obasanjo had tried to use the backyard door to get Tinubu’s election nullified by his issuing a stern statement calling for cancellation of the poll.
The duo have not met since Tinubu emerged victorious.
But on Monday, they were both at Uzodimma’s swearing in ceremony. There was no show of animosity as they shook hands and took pictures.
