Grammy award-winning Nigerian superstar Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has put out the visuals of ‘Diamonds’, his hit single.
The 33-year-old Afrobeats star announced the release of the video via his social media pages on Wednesday.
Directed by DK, the three-minute visuals begin with Wizkid in a dimly lit room, sitting on a stool while backing the camera.
‘Diamonds’ is the second track of the singer’s recently released “Soundman Vol. 2” EP.
The four tracks project includes vibrant collaborations with industry heavyweights Wande Coal and Zlatan Ibile.
The partnership between Wizkid and Wande Coal brings together two music powerhouses, promising a fusion of soulful melodies and Afrobeat rhythms.
Additionally, the inclusion of Zlatan Ibile, renowned for his high-energy rap style, brings a new dimension to the EP.
This collaboration underscores Wizkid’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of the Afrobeats genre, offering fans a dynamic listening experience globally.
The release of this project comes a month after Wizkid hinted at taking a five-year hiatus from music.
Notably, ‘Soundman Vol. 1’ was released in December 2019.
