The Friday judgement will put an end to the legal battle that began at the Election Petitions Tribunal, and moved to the Court of Appeal before getting to the apex Court.

The Supreme Court will on  Friday give judgement in the appeal seeking to invalidate the  election of Governor Muhammad Yahaya of Gombe State.

The appeal filed by Jibrin Barde, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and the party are claim that Yahaya was not validly elected.

A five-member panel of the apex court, led by Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, announced Friday as the day for the judgment after lawyers to parties adopted their written briefs on Thursday morning.

The Friday judgement will put an end to the legal battle that began at the Election Petitions Tribunal, and moved to the Court of Appeal before getting to the apex Court.
